Matric College offers Short courses to help you acquire a set of skills. These skills are known to help you gain employment and entrepreneurship. You can use the Certificate Qualification you earn after completing a Short course to open a business or find work.

ICB Courses

The ICB designed ICB courses. These courses are also accredited by the ICB and the QCTO.  These courses help you gain scarce skills and knowledge. Scarce skills are skills that are in demand. This gives you an opportunity to be easily noticed by employers and get you employed. You can also use these skills to open a business. Below is a list of the ICB courses you can study without a Matric Certificate: 

Adult Matric Courses

Through this course, you gain a chance to earn a Matric Certificate. This course equips you with the knowledge that prepares you to further your studies or find entry-level employment. When you complete the Adult Matric course, you are awarded a Matric Certificate from Umalusi. You can use this to study at university or look for work.

What Can I Do If I Failed Matric?

Adult Matric

If you have been out of school for a long time, and you do not have Matric, this is your chance to get it. You will learn the same information as a Matriculant in high school. However, your pass mark only counts in your exams. There are no other assessments that create your final pass mark. This will give you more time to prepare for your exams. 

Study An ICB Course

You can study ICB courses without Matric. Through these courses, you will learn about the business, financial and office management fields. You will be equipped with skills that are in demand. 

Rewrite Matric

If you have failed your Matric, you can rewrite your Matric at Matric College. Through this course, you will gain a chance to earn your Matric. When you rewrite, you have a chance to select different subjects. You can choose four (4) new subjects that you will rewrite. This will help you if you were thinking of changing your career choices. You can study the subjects that will make it easy to apply to university for the course you want. 

How Many Times Can I Rewrite Matric?

At Matric College, you are able to rewrite your Matric as many times as you can. However, we love to see you complete your course in time. We provide you with assistance such as:

Do You Get Matric Certificate If You Failed?

No, if you fail your Matric, you are no longer issued a Matric Certificate. You only receive a statement of results. 

Can I Do Matric At College?

Yes, you can do Matric at a college. You can study at Matric College. We are a distance learning institution that offers Adult Matric courses amongst many others. Distance learning means that you study the Adult Matric course from home.

Can You Do Your Matric Online?

Yes, you can do your Matric online. When you study through Matric College, you use resources that are online. Below is a list of the online resources you use:

How Can I Pass Matric?

You can pass Matric by achieving one of the following pass levels. We would recommend that you obtain a Bachelor’s Degree pass because it will help you study for a degree course at university. However, you must keep in mind that your acceptance into a university depends on whether you meet the requirements they have for the university and the course you are applying for. 

The good part is, when you study at Matric College, you can apply using any of the following pass levels for our courses

Bachelor’s Degree Pass Level

  • A minimum of 40% in your home language 
  • A minimum of 50% in four subjects 
  • A minimum of 30% in 2 other subjects 

Diploma Pass Level

  • A minimum of 40% in your home language 
  • A minimum of 40% in four subjects 
  • A minimum of 30% in 2 other subjects 

Higher Certificate Pass Level

  • A minimum of 40% in your home language 
  • A minimum of  40% in two subjects 
  • A minimum of 30% in 3 other subjects 

National Senior Certificate Pass Level

  • A minimum of 40% in your home language 
  • A minimum of 40% in two other subjects 
  • A minimum of 20% in other subjects

How Many Subjects Do You Need To Pass Matric?

You need six (6) subjects, to pass the Adult Matric course. From the six subjects, you can pass five (5) subjects and complete the course. For the high school Matric, you need seven subjects to pass. From the seven subjects, you can pass six subjects and pass Matric. 

How Can I Get My Matric Fast In South Africa?

You can get your Matric fast at Matric College. You can study for a period of 1 to 3 years to obtain this qualification through Matric College. We allow students to study at their pace. 

Students can complete the course in either one (1), two (2) or three (3) years. This depends on how fast they understand their subjects. We do recommend that you study for the full three years so that you have enough time to prepare for your exams. 

Can You Buy Your Matric?

No, you should not buy your Matric Certificate. This is an illegal thing to do, and you may face legal consequences if you are found with a fake Matric Certificate.

Can You Get A Degree Without Matric?

No, you cannot study for a Degree Qualification without Matric. You need a Matric Certificate to apply for a degree course at university. The Matric Certificate must be a Bachelor’s Degree pass. 

Your acceptance, however, still depends on whether you meet the requirements set by the university and the course you have applied for. 

What Level NQF Is Matric?

A Matric Certificate is at National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 4. This qualification is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). It increases your chances to gain acceptance when you further your studies or apply for work anywhere you want in South Africa. You can find work as a:  

  • Personal Assistant
